UniKreationz By Rose Donates Necklace To DFW Rocks Social Media Day Event

Social Media Day is a special day created by Mashable.com to celebrate all things related to social media. Many groups from meetup.com put together their own gatherings to celebrate Social Media Day. One get together that really stood out was the DFW Rocks Social Media Day celebration held at the Social Media House in Addison, TX, and put together by Lissa Duty, a well known social media coach from Dallas, TX. Many topics regarding social media were covered by top presenters such as Giovanni Gallucci (LiveLoudTexas.com), Neil Lemmons (ILiveInDallas.com), Fred Campos (FunCitySocialMedia.com), and special guest speaker Andrea Vahl - well known on YouTube for her Grandma Mary character that she uses to teach people about social media.

Along with some great speakers, there were also door prizes given out such as an iPad case, donated by SendBuyersToMe.com. But one of the highlights of the evening was a very special door prize donated by Rose Block from UniKreationz By Rose. The donation was a beautiful turquoise colored necklace that turned many heads as it was presented to the winner.

Through various channels, Ms. Block was informed about the Social Media Day celebration given by Lissa Duty, and decided to be a part of the festivities in her own way. "I was really excited when Lissa told me that one of my creations was going to be given away as a door prize at this event. Social media is a big part of our society today, and I was very pleased that I could do something to be a part of this event."

Rose Block has owned her own jewelry making company for several years, and has been working to make her presence known in the community. Another way Ms. Block has been helping out in her community is by her active participation with the Mocha Sisters organization - a group committed to helping young girls work to better themselves in various endeavors. Another outreach program that is dear to Rose's heart is the D.R.E.A.M. project which stands for Dedicating to Reaching Empowering Aspiring Minds. The D.R.E.A.M. program works to help young girls ages 6 to 18 improve their skills in math and science.
