FreeLoader Solar Battery Charger

I know there have been times when I've been playing on my PSP or listening to music on my iPod, and the battery dies. If you're near an electrical outlet, this isn't to bad of a situation, but there are other times when I can't get to an electrical outlet when my battery died (there's a restaurant in Dallas called Loft 610. Great place to eat, but they have virtually no outlets).

That's where the FreeLoader comes in. The best way to describe this device is that it's a compilation of mini solar cells, is very portable, can easily be charged up, and holds onto the power it has obtained for up to three months (pretty cool, huh?). After you get it charged up you can then use it to charge up your electronic devices and gadgets such as your MP3 player, iPod, PSP, and so forth.

This device of convenience is just barely bigger than a cell phone and is made of aluminium (the lightweight variety). Plus, the FreeLoader can be pulled open to uncover not one, but two solar panels. You can charge it up by simply letting it have access to direct sunlight (the brighter the better). The FreeLoader has an internal battery that will then power almost any electronic device:

  • an iPod for up to 18 hours
  • a cell phone for up to 44 hours
  • your PSP for up to 2.5 hours
  • a basic PDA for up to 22 hours
  • Plus a whole lot more!

As you can see from the specs, The FreeLoader holds a pretty good amount of power. Also, once the FreeLoader has emptied its charge you can recharge it by simply putting it near direct sunlight (or if you prefer, you can charge it using a USB port on your computer).

The FreeLoader comes with around eleven different adapters so it's very versatile and perfect for taking on camping trips, computer gaming expos, picnics, or anywhere you may find it hard to find an outlet. It's also perfect for traveling, and is the one thing that everyone should make sure to take with them. The FreeLoader is definitely a great piece of technology worth checking out.
