Drag Racing, Muscle Cars and Other Speed Fan Favorites

Drag racing has been around since the end of World War II. Guys would get together to challenge each other to see who could beat out the other for bragging rights, and possibly pink slips - the deed to the other competitor's car. Although many still do it illegally on the streets, more and more raceways are opening up to allow for some hot and heavy action on the drag strip.

Although drag racing is exciting, and a lot of fun, not everyone is made for drag racing. It does take nerves of steel and the need for an adrenaline rush that you just can't get riding a bike down the street. Of course, you can still get quite a thrill just watching from the stands. Thousands of people will often get together with friends, and family to watch the drag racers take off in their high powered muscle machines.
