DIY Candy Filled Gift Cone Tutorial

Holidays are a great time to get together with family and friends. It is also a great time to throw parties filled with gifts, decorations and food. One of the best decorations at a party is the kind that is filled with something special like...candy! In this tutorial, you will learn how to make your very own candy filled gift cone that you can give out at parties, meetings, and other social gatherings.

Step 1

You want to get a triangle composed of a light paper material like wrapping paper, or wax paper. Cut the triangle so that one side is 8.5 inches long, and the other side is 12 inches long. Once you have your paper triangle ready, place the triangle on a table in front of you with the decorative side down, and the non-decorative side facing towards you. Also, be sure the 8.5 inch side is closest to you.

Step 2

Regardless of which way your triangle is facing, starting with the bottom corner of the triangle, roll up the paper to make a cone shape. You should make it so that part o the edge of the longest side meets wit the center of the triangle. Keep rolling until you have a cone shape.

Step 3

After rolling your cone, you will end up with two triangle corners. Use a glue stick, and place some glue onto one of the triangle edges, and fold it down. Press the corner edge to secure it in place.

Step 4

Fill the cone with candy leaving enough space for the top triangle corner to be folded down. Usually candy coated, or individually wrapped candy works best.

Step 5

Using the glue stick, put some glue at the top of the cone, and fold it down. Secure the corner edge to the rest of the cone. Once the corner edge has been secured, you can add a small decoration to the outside edge if you'd like.

Experiment with different types of paper to see what works best. You can also write names of people, or put your company logo on the paper before you begin to make the gift cones look even better. If you have time, you can also use stickers to close the candy cones instead of glue.

Remember – you are only limited by your imagination! Be as creative as you want to be!!!
