I have a few friends that are thinking about getting married, and even more that have already taken that dreaded...I mean overly joyous trip down the aisle. Getting ready for a wedding is no picnic. You have to find a place to hold the ceremony, find a good caterer, get your wedding dress in order, and coordinate the whole thing so that your family, and friends are able to share in your special day without doing something to accidentally ruin the whole affair. Still, it is definitely something that can be planned for in order to make sure that things go as smoothly as possible. For those of you out there that are about to tie the knot, aka get married, you may be having some wedding day jitters. Well, one of the easiest ways to deal with those jitters is to do something to take your mind off the big day for awhile. Of course, another way to calm your nerves is to think about some of the folklore that surrounds the idea of having a wedding day. Why do we have wedding showers, and d...

If you have been in the mood for a new, and fun physics based game then you're in luck! Here comes Stupid Jerks! To be honest I'm not sure why the characters in this game are called “stupid jerks” (the birds in “Angry Birds” are angry because the pigs stole their eggs), but definitely don't let that stop you from having fun with this game. The premise is simple. You click on the various blocks to cause the stupid jerks to fall. Sometimes you click on a block to have the "Stupid Jerks" roll down the hill which can be difficult since they are shaped like octagons (creativity does come in handy with this game). The music is pretty cool, but if you don't want music at all, you can click on the musical notes to turn the music off. You can click on the picture of a speaker to turn off the sound effects. To start a new game, click on the "PLAY GAME" button No time like the present - check out this game below!!!

One of the best things about going on a romantic vacation is that you get to be with the one your love. It is also one of the best times to really show your significant other that you really have some imagination, and can come up with some amazing ideas for the two of you to do. Combining ideas makes the most sense as well. For example, you could go to an amusement park during the day, and then at night take a ferry ride over to a secluded spot on the beach for a candlelight dinner. If you are vacationing in Central New Jersey , you could check out a really great concert, and then grab a bite to eat at one of the many great restaurants in the area. Creativity is the spice of life which helps a lot when planning a weekend getaway . Which is one of the reasons why I like this Old Spice commercial so much. They put together some of the best things to do on a romantic getaway all in one 30 second spot. Impressive!

Pretty soon, the summer will be upon us, and people will be journeying far, and wide to find the perfect bikini. There are several bikinis to choose from - you can go with a one piece, or a two piece. But regardless of what swimsuit you choose, you are going to have to work out in order to tone up that beautiful body of yours to make it look the best that you can. Yoga, Pilates, and good old weight lifting are excellent ways to get your body in tip top condition in no time. And one of the ways to make your workout progress go even further is to go on a really good diet. If you are getting ready for the summer, then you know how hard it is to find the right diet to help you get slim, and trim in as little time as possible. Just about everyone has this problem from construction workers, to librarians, to computer analysts. Even swimmers have a hard time finding a diet that's right for them...well, except for Michael Phelps. Michael has found the perfect diet that works wonders fo...

If you're looking for a way to have some fun, and relax for awhile, then this is the game for you! Check out Marble Lines! The concept of the game is pretty straight forward. After you let the game load, click on the word "Play" in the middle of the left hand side of the screen. Your objective is to destroy groups of marbles which can be accomplished by matching three or more marbles together. You click on the left mouse button to shoot the marble that is loaded in your cannon. If you look at the top of the cannon there is a color on the back of the launcher. That is the marble that will be next in line to shoot. You can switch out the current marble, and the upcoming marble by pressing the space bar. You can change the aim of your cannon by moving your mouse around, or by moving your finger on your touchpad. If you need to pause the game, change the sound level of the music or sound effects, just click on the picture of the gear in the upper right corner of the...

In this puzzle game, your goal is to save the hippos while getting rid of the rhinos. You do that by clicking on the various objects that will cause the hippos to be saved. However, if both a hippo, and a rhino is present you have to figure out a way to get rid of the rhino while being able to save the hippo. The levels start out very easy, and get progressively harder. I can't say that this game reminds me of Angry Birds, but it is along the lines of it. But instead of launching projectiles at the rhinos, you click on objects to clear them in order to save the hippos while getting rid of the rhinos. Have fun!

If you have ever watched a fashion show on TV, or in real life you will have seen some rather emaciated looking people modeling clothing for "regular" people. For years, clothing has been shown off on the catwalk by women with very few curves. That's why when a model like Kate Upton, a model with curves, and a body that's closer to the norm, becomes popular, it is likely to turn heads, get people's attention, and attract some unkind criticism. Such was the case when blogger SkinnyGurl decided to go on a rampage about the way Kate Upton looked. Never mind that she has walked several catwalks, and was able to make the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. SkinnyGurl still made sure that everyone knew that she thought that Kate Upton was a "fattie", among other things. The thing is, modeling is a VERY strict business. Unlike movies where you can write an amazing dialogue for someone who rarely reads a book, modeling requires acting without...

If you have ever worked to get your message out to the masses you may have found it somewhat difficult. People are bombarded day in, and day out with marketing messages from all over the place. You can walk, or drive down the street, and see exactly what I mean from billboards, to flyers put up on telephone polls. With all the different ways to advertise in the main stream, it can be difficult to find a better way to really get your message across in a way that also makes it fun for the viewer. That is what makes promotional products so special. Promotional products are any products that are used to carry a message, but also serves a purpose. One of the easiest ways to get your logo soaring across the front lawn of a college campus is by imprinting frisbees that you give away as a free gift. If you are wanting something a little more useful to the general public, then you may want to check out t shirt screen printing , or embroidered shirts . Clothing is a great way to get your me...

Social Media Day is a special day created by Mashable.com to celebrate all things related to social media. Many groups from meetup.com put together their own gatherings to celebrate Social Media Day. One get together that really stood out was the DFW Rocks Social Media Day celebration held at the Social Media House in Addison, TX, and put together by Lissa Duty, a well known social media coach from Dallas, TX. Many topics regarding social media were covered by top presenters such as Giovanni Gallucci ( LiveLoudTexas.com ), Neil Lemmons ( ILiveInDallas.com ), Fred Campos ( FunCitySocialMedia.com ), and special guest speaker Andrea Vahl - well known on YouTube for her Grandma Mary character that she uses to teach people about social media. Along with some great speakers, there were also door prizes given out such as an iPad case, donated by SendBuyersToMe.com . But one of the highlights of the evening was a very special door prize donated by Rose Block from UniKreationz By Rose...

Real estate is probably one of the most talked about topics around. Even if you aren't discussing buying, and selling real estate directly, you are probably talking about owning a home one day, hearing about someone getting evicted from their home, remodeling or redecorating your house, etc. For the most part, the furnishings that you have for a home are of the standard variety (swimming pool, some shrubs for the front yard, that sort of thing). However, every so often you have someone that decides that they want their home to stand out from all the others. But instead of putting in a nice rose bush, or perhaps putting in a lighted walkway, they decide that it would be really cool to build a house where the roof is on the ground, and the entrance is up high in the air. The pictures below represent architecture where imagination was stretched to its limits. Some of the real estate properties are ones that you might be able to imagine yourself in one day (especially with "...

Most people, these days, send most of their correspondence via e-mail, or posts on a blog or what have you. But there are still some things that you still receive by regular mail. There are many people that still get their phone bill in the mail, as well as, their electric bill, and their water, and gas bill. Not many people like to get bills, but they do like to receive letters from people - and a catalog here, and there is a lot of fun to receive in the mail as well. The only thing that limits you is how well you can use your imagination. Check out these crazy mail boxes that have appeared a...

Tech nerds from all over love checking out gadgets, reading comic books, and playing video games. Some of the coolest video games happening are at E3, but unfortunately most people will not be able to go. That's when you fire up G4, and watch the action as its happening on your TV, or computer. One of the best things to do when visiting a comic book convention, or an anime convention is to participate in cosplay - the practice of dressing up like your favorite anime, or comic book character. You can even dress up as a character from a video game (there are so many cool video games out there right now, this is hard to resist). If you take time on your costume, you can create a design that is sure to turn heads. You might even make a costume so amazing that people will want to take pictures of you, and some will even want to take a picture of you. Well, regardless if you like to dress up as your favorite comic book, anime, or video game characters, or you just like to watch ot...

If you have a loved one that is about to graduate high school, you know how much a big relief it can be. For some, getting through high school was pretty simple, but for others graduating was an uphill battle. So the last thing you want to have to worry about for graduation day is getting the family together at the right time, and at the right place to attend the graduation ceremony. Although organizing the graduation details can be nerve racking, there are a few things that you can do to get ready. Here are a few tips: Always make sure that everyone has the address of the location of where the graduation ceremony will be held. It's amazing how so many people overlook this step. Bring a cell phone with you, and make sure it is charged in case you need to call someone. Figure out what part of the building the graduation ceremony will be held, and make sure everyone knows EXACTLY how to get there. When in doubt, ask! It is better to embarrass yourself asking a question than ...

Many companies have wondered about how to create better harmony in the workplace . In today's economy, companies have to strive to be as competitive as they can be. Many just focus on making really good products, but what those same companies don't realize is that if they can build staff loyalty, the staff would work harder to be ambassadors of the company's products. By working harder to make your staff a really cohesive unit, you can do much more for your company than just focusing on product improvement alone. One of the best places to start in creating staff unity, is by going over the staff policies making sure that they help to create a productive workplace environment, while being fair to everyone involved. When companies create their policies on what is acceptable behavior among the staff, it can be tricky. Since not everyone has the same sense of humor, what is funny to one person can be considered offensive by another, and what one person would consider a com...

It is tough trying to make ends meet. Sometimes you have to take on a second job, if you were lucky enough to find a first. There are many families that work really hard to pay their bills, and still have enough left over to exist on. But being homeless is even tougher. Sometimes you're lucky, and you can live out of your car, but many homeless people have to rely on living in shelters when space is available while others have to take to the streets. In this kind of a situation you would find it hard to consider someone able to save their money to do anything, and going to college would seem to be out of the question. Well, a young woman was able to defy the odds, and is now bound for Harvard. A North Carolina teenager, Dawn Loggins, who was abandoned by her family, kept working hard in school to get the grades that she needed to graduate. Dawn had been used to her family having to move from place to place, getting evicted several times throughout her teenage years. When sh...
