Bed Intruder Costume - Run Tell That!

I have been absolutely blown away by how popular the video of Antoine Dodson being interviewed by the news has gone viral. What was even more impressive was how the Gregory Brothers took the footage, and was able to make a music video out of it. They even went a step further, and created songs you can download from iTunes. And just when I thought the Bed Intruder train couldn't go any further, I found out that there is a costume called the Bed Intruder Costume that was created by the Mirza Agency.

In all honesty, it wasn't exactly their idea. What happened was some other company created a Bed Intruder costume. Two main problems with this. One, they used almost the exact words that Antoine Dodson used in his interview. And second, they did this without Antoine's permission. It's one thing to create a costume that looks like someone on a viral video, but to use their exact words in a rather crude way that makes fun of a possible rapist attacking Antoine's sister, well that's just sad.

The official Antoine Dodson costume looks better than the cheap knock off. And the words used for the ad are a lot more fun, and just focus on the main catch phrase that almost everyone is familiar with - "Hide yo kids, Hide yo wife, and Hide yo husband!". It also looks better than the other pretender to the throne. It comes with a red scarf, an Antoine Dodson afro wig (I don't think they call it that, but hey), a black tank top that you can decorate however you wish, and finally a rolled up paper, but this one is autographed by Antoine Dodson helping to further identify the costumes originality.

I have to give it to Antoine. He's getting half of the money from the iTunes sales, and he's using it to buy his family a new home in a much safer neighborhood. It's a shame that stupid stuff like this has to happen, but as the saying goes "Tough times don't last, tough people do." My hat (or wig) is off to Antoine and his sister, and I wish them the best. And be sure to get your own Antoine Dodson costume for Halloween. This would even be something cool you could wear to celebrate new years. Either way, Run Tell That, Homeboy!
